Digital Print & Finishing Operative

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, flexible, and possess a keen eye for detail with a strong commitment to producing work of the highest quality. While previous experience in digital print or print finishing would be an advantage, full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Job Summary
To operate digital print and finishing equipment within a busy production environment, producing high-quality printed materials using both small and large format printing technologies.
Location: W&G Baird Ltd Greystone Press, Caulside Drive, Antrim, BT41 2DU
Salary: Competitive salary, dependent on experience.
Working hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
The successful candidate may occasionally be required to work additional hours or adjust their working pattern to meet business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out production duties as scheduled by the Digital Print Manager.
- Operate a range of digital printing equipment, including both small and large format printers.
- Produce and finish printed materials to the highest quality standards.
- Operate finishing equipment such as Guillotine, laminating, mounting, folding, binding, and packing where required.
- Carry out quality control checks throughout the production process to ensure customer expectations are consistently met.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels of paper, inks, toners, and other consumables.
- Undertake routine maintenance and cleaning of print and finishing equipment to minimise downtime.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient working environment.
- Support colleagues and contribute positively to achieving departmental production targets.

Warehouse Operative
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting with the smooth operation of our warehouse, contributing to the overall success of our logistics and supply chain processes. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Uniform is provided. Excellent career opportunities.
Duties
- Supply of reels of paper and other materials from the warehouse to the factory
- Unloading lorries
- Complete goods in quality checks and reporting issues
- Assisting with stock takes and report missing or damaged stock
- Booking in deliveries, filing paperwork and update computer system
- Maintain ancillary equipment to a high standard
- Completing daily safety checks on forklifts
- Maintain a high level of house keeping
- Ensure the necessary protective equipment is always worn / used
- Cleaning and maintaining the paper warehouse
- Identify possible safety hazards in the workplace
- Other responsibilities as determined by management
Skills
- Must be pro-active in your duties, be able to work on your own initiative and work with others
- Experience of using a handheld pallet truck
- Checking equipment daily and using it safely
- Maintain a high level of house keeping
- An understanding of Health & Safety requirements
- Good time management
- Quality conscious
Essential Criteria
- Forklift driving experience
- Must be pro-active in your duties, be able to work on your own initiative and work with others
- Hold a clean current UK driving licence.
- A desire to learn.

Handwork Co-ordinator (Finishing)
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Handwork Co-ordinator to join our busy Bindery/Print Finishing Department. This is a hands-on entry level role in our factory, responsible for tasks such as loading booklets onto stitching and bindery machines. Full training will be provided. The role requires being on your feet for the duration of your shift.
Working Hours are Monday to Friday. 8am to 4pm.
Experience
Although no previous experience within a commercial print bindery or finishing department is required for this role, the successful candidate should be reliable and have:
- Strong attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers.
