Experienced Print Finisher / Folding Operator

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Print Finisher / Folding Operator to join our night shift production team.

Job Summary

As an experienced Print Finisher/Folding Operator, you will operate high-speed folding machines and other print finishing equipment to ensure all printed materials meet required quality and production standards.

Working Pattern: 3-day week (plus opportunities for overtime)

3 x 12-hour shifts per week (rotating between days and nights)

21 shifts holidays per year, including statutory days.

Responsibilities

  • Operate high-speed folding machines, guillotines, and other finishing equipment.
  • Ensure all finished printing meets quality, accuracy, and specification standards.
  • Inspect work for defects and resolve issues where possible.
  • Meet production deadlines in a fast-paced print environment.
  • Report machine faults and carry out basic preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working area.
  • Follow all health & safety procedures.

About You

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in print finishing (essential)
  • Experience operating folding machines and guillotines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working night shifts in a production environment
  • Willing to learn and adapt to new equipment and processes.

Print Assistant

JOB TITLE:  Print Assistant

DEPARTMENT: Factory

RESPONSIBLE TO: Print Room Manager

LOCATION OF POST (On-Site): Greystone Road, Antrim

HOURS OF WORK: Rotating 12 Hour Shifts (Days and Nights).  3 shifts per week

GENERAL INFORMATION

As a Print Assistant you will provide support to the printers assisting with supply of materials, change overs and maintenance activities.  Reliability, attention to detail and a thirst for learning are key to success in these posts, and all our employees work to business values that include ensuring a high level of health, safety and wellbeing.

Depending on experience, your training will be adapted to ensure success. 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Work with a team of print operators to ensure production requirements are met and a high standard of quality is produced
  • Work efficiently with the printer to change over jobs to set targets
  • Work efficiently to prepare machine equipment to enable quick change overs
  • Maintain ancillary equipment to a high standard
  • Loading and unloading of reels on and off the press
  • Checking equipment daily and using it safely
  • Maintain a high level of house keeping
  • Removing material waste containers from factory for recycling
  • Ensure the necessary protective equipment is always worn / used
  • Cleaning and maintaining presses
  • Identify safety hazards in the workplace
  • Ensure materials (paper & plates) are always prepared and available
  • Forklift truck driving
  • Assist the printer with the weekly / monthly cleaning and maintenance activities on the press
  • Other responsibilities as determined by management

Experience

  • Experience of using a handheld pallet truck.
  • An understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
  • Experience within the print industry (although full training provided).
  • Forklift experience.
