Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced 7.5 Tonne HGV Driver to join our despatch team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various locations.

This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and adherence to all driving regulations. You will be driving a 7.5 tonne vehicle, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time and in excellent condition.

Duties

• Operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle for the transportation of goods
  Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, adhering to weight limits and safety regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or queries from clients.

Experience

• Previous experience as a delivery driver, particularly with commercial driving, is essential.
• Knowledge of NI roads essential.
• Tachograph Card is essential.
• A valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for 7.5 tonne vehicles is required.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are necessary for maintaining accurate records.
• A commitment to safety and compliance with all driving regulations is crucial.
• Ability to be able to move pallets with a pallet truck.
